The Museum of the Roman Empire
The material collected for this museum, was temporarily placed in the ex-convent of Sant'Ambrogio in 1927, it was then arranged in the former Pantanella bakery near the Bocca della Verità, which was transformed into the Palazzo of the Museums.
In this way the Museum of the Roman Empire came into existence and, having been inaugurated in 1929, also took on the role of archive and study centre for the Roman world.
