Pittori Contemporanei Russi a Roma
Russian Cultural Month part of the “Arte e cultura dell’Europa dell’Est a Roma” (Art and culture of Eastern Europe in Rome) project.
From the eighteenth century, Italy became the cradle of the best Russian talents: writers, painters, and composers who experienced a true love and a passion for Italian culture. The tradition began in the nineteenth century still continues today: as a matter of fact, many Russian artists such as Igor Ladozhanin, Ekaterina Panikanova, Anastasia Kurakin live and work in Rome; their works are on display in the exhibition.
